Russians’ consumer confidence rises 4 pp in April–June

MOSCOW, Jul 8 (PRIME) -- Russians’ consumer expectations increased by 4 percentage points on the quarter to minus 26% in April–June, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement on Friday.

The share of people with a positive attitude towards changes in the economy during the quarter increased to 7% from 5% in January–March, while the number of people with negative reactions fell to 63% from 75%. The amount of neutral reactions went up to 29% from 20%.

The index of changes expected in Russia’s economic situation in the short term increased by 6 percentage points to minus 13%.
